conclusion
after discussion for so long, we should come out with a conclusion..
we cannot deny the importance of sex education in creating the new thinking of new generation of Malaysia.
Not only that, sex education can help in preventing social illness.
when i mention about bringing new thinking, then i don mean that we should follow the western style of thinking..
what i trying to say is that, we need to change the mind-set as we keep on mention in our discussion...
we are Malaysian, we not necessary have to follow the western people in applying sex knowledge in our lives. we can do it in our own way, Malaysian ways!!
at the end of this discussion, we still think that sex education is important in preventing social illness. i hope you who read our blog will start thinking of this issue as it is really needed in our society..

#2 ways to implement sex education in Malaysia
Not only campaign, government can actually control the media. Not saying that abandon sex education in public but to allow media to show some simple but meaningful video clip.
If we really want sex education to be implemented in Malaysia, we need to start from the very beginning, where everyone need to accept that sex education is not a "taboo".
When we are more familiar with certain term of sex, then we would not feel shy and can accept sex education more freely rather before. Having more sex knowledge is not a shame and we should feel pround of it because we dare to accept sex knowledge while other dare not.
We should open our heart in order to accept sex education...
do you agree??
Ways to implement sex education in Malaysia ?
The goverment can play its role by organising more awareness campaign to emphasize on the importance of sex education. Through doing this, the mind set of the people in Malaysia would be changed to make them realise the importance of having sex education since young. Despite being sensitive issue, people will be more acceptable of this campaign if it is carried out frequently.
Parents can also play an important role to carry out sex education. Parents are alway close with their children. So, if parents try to pass on the basic knowledge since their childhood, it will be more acceptable of this issue when they grow up.
Why Sex Education not being emphasized in Malaysia?
Although we realise the importance of sex education, but the question is why it is not being emphasized in Malaysia.
Just like my group members said, there are many reasons that why this happen. For me, the main reason is our culture and environment factors. As we know that mostly Malaysian still have the conservative thinking. This makes us unable to accept this concept. We cannot deny that even the western countries, their social illness is quite serious but at least they are willing to accept this knowledge.
In China, they are launching a campaign to break sex taboo. Adapted to Reuters Life, China launched a national sex education campaign aimed at breaking traditional taboos and getting more people to seek treatment for STIs. Many of Malaysian think that our children would go the wrong way if they are educated about sex. But ignorance about sex is far more dangerous than guidance and the social illness in Malaysia will keep on increasing.

Why sex education is important to preventing social ills ?
The importance of sex education to preventing social ills :
- Sex education will provides young people with the basic knowledge about sex. By this way, they will more understanding their bodies and gender roles in the positive ways.
- Educating the child on the impontance of protection. This is from a disease and pregnacy point of view. When you have a teen that is sexually active then you can see that you are going to have to get the most from the protection point of view. The teen need to know what methods are available, how to get them, and what they need to know about them. This is important for both the boy and the girl as a whole.
- Sex education also will increase their responsibility towards themselves and other in this area. On this way, they will more consider the consequences of having free sex or premarital sex.

why sex education is not being emphasized in Malaysia?
in my opinion, i think the main reason is our mind-set. we are so used to our culture that is more conservative compare to the western countries. The goverment did try to introduce sex education in the 1997, but unexpectally they took a step backward by restricting no sex in media.
Yes, we cannot deny that too much sexual issue being expose in the media will causes some unwanted effect. But if we keep on living in this kind of environment, when are we going to have an improvement? Some simple but meaningful sex education video should be available in order to let Malaysian get more familiar with sex education and would not reject it without knowing what it is about.
Not only youth but also the adult should take up their responsibility in this issue. If we keep on rejecting sex education, then the social illness in Malaysia will keep on increasing.
So, to overcome the social illness, we need to have sex education and before that, we need to change our mind-set.

#3 the importance of sex education in preventing social ills..
ever since we are all girls, why don we just focus on those social ills that are related to us?
what are the things?
pre-marriage sex? teen pregnancies? illegal abortions? free sex?
those are the things that related to sex, and we as female need to know about sex in order to protect ourselves.
We are educated people, so we might already learn all the basic knowledge way back to high school time, but how about those people who might not have chance to be expose to these knowledge?
They are human also, they have the authority to know all these things.
As I mention before, sex education educate us not only sex but also other things.
I want to know how much you know about sex education..
can you all reply me in giving me some comment??
Continue to the importance of sex education in preventing social ills...
Sex education also educate the child on the importance of protection as part of safe sex routine. Through this, they will know what they should do and also what they should not do in order to protect themselves. This may serve a higher purpose of preventing sexually transmitted infections. Moreover, they will also learn to make decisions that respect themselves and others by taking account the possible consequences. For instance, youngsters will be more matured, responsible and social ills can also be reduced. Furthermore, research had shown that children that are subjected to sex education are more apparent to practice safer sex.
The above is another importance of sex education in preventing social ills. Thus, if you want to share any information or opinion with me, please leave a comment to me.

What is sex education ?
So sex education should be taught in school, partly because it is a means by which they are helped to protect themselves against abuse, exploitation, unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS.
What is sex education is really about ? Sex education, which is sometimes called sexuality education and relationships education, is the process of acquiring information and forming attitudes and beliefs about sex, sexual identity, relationships and intimacy. Sex education is also about developing young people's skills so that they make informed choices about their behaviour, and feel confident and competend about acting on these choices. It is widely accepted that young people have a right to sex education.
I would be pleased if someone can drop me a comment after reading my post.

#2 What is sex education?
Let's talk about sex education seriously! Actually sex education not only about sex alone, but it is a kind of education that educate people about human sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction, sexual intercourse, reproductive health, emotional relations, reproductive rights and responsibilities, contraception, and also other aspect of human sexual behaviors. Besides, it also include family planning, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), ways to avoid STIs and also birth control methods.
Basically, sex education is being taught formally and informally. In most countries nowadays, part of the sex education are being taught as a full course within the curriculum in junior high school or high school. Usually, it is just a part of the biology class, health class, economic class or physical education class. That makes sex education even harder to be explored by the new generations. Sex education may be taught informally, people can gain information through their conversation with friends, family, or even teachers. They can also get the information the media, which include magazine advice columnist, sex self-help author or even through the web site related to sex education.
Sad to say that Malaysia's sex education is basically focus on the biological side which is more to biology knowledge. We are not being expose to a deeper level of sex education. Maybe this is due to our culture and environment factors again. We are simply touching the surface of sex education while we ourselves thought that we know what sex education really about.
Last time, I conducted a survey among students in Malacca Matriculation College, the results came back to what I mentioned just now. Now the problem is we thought we know about sex education yet we do not know. The main point here is that we need to make a change, at lease changing our attitude toward sex education.
I hope that after reading this post, you'll know more about sex education, at lease knowing that sex education is not only about sex. If you want to know more, please leave your comment and I'll post more information about sex education.

What is sex education?
Thus, it is very important to implement sex education. But, in our country someone may raise the objection that sex education is not only difficult but dangerous to be given by parents or teachers since they themselves are not well informed or competent or qualified to do it. But the answer is that all married people know something about sex and a beginning should be made to break the vicious circle and this difficulty will disappear for the next younger generation, with as much sounder and franker attitude as possible toward sex built up in the present generation and which attitude will be rational, natural and sounder still in the subsequent generations.
For population control, therefore, parents and teachers have to educate the children who are the future parents, about the "how" of birth or the process of reproduction. In other words education about the functioning of the sex urge, has to be given at the proper time and discussions on sex should cover the entire technique of growing up and not only the narrower aspect. Healthy sex education is necessary for responsible parenthood.
To know more about sex education, i hope anyone of you can leave a comment to me so that i can explain more about it.

The four main questions for our topic!!
They are:
- What is sex education?
- Why is sex education important?
- Why sex education is currently not being emphasized in Eastern countries?
- What are the ways to implement sex education in the Eastern countries?
